Installing the Cognism Chrome Extension

Install the Cognism Chrome Extension to access Cognism data while browsing supported websites such as LinkedIn and supported CRM platforms.

Before You Begin

Ensure that:

• You have an active Cognism account.
• Your account has been activated.
• You are using the latest version of Google Chrome.
• You have permission to install Chrome extensions on your device.

Note: The Cognism Chrome Extension is only supported on Google Chrome.

Install the Chrome Extension

1. Open the Cognism Chrome Extension page in the Chrome Web Store.
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Click Add extension when prompted.
4. Wait for the installation to complete.

Once installed, the Cognism icon appears in your Chrome toolbar.

Pin the Extension (Optional)

To make the extension easier to access:

1. Click the Extensions (puzzle) icon in Chrome.
2. Find Cognism in the list.
3. Click the Pin icon.

The Cognism icon will remain visible in your browser toolbar.

Sign In to the Extension

1. Click the Cognism extension icon.
2. Enter your Cognism credentials or select your configured Single Sign-On (SSO) provider.
3. Complete authentication.

After signing in successfully, the extension is ready to use.

Verify the Installation

To confirm the extension is working:

1. Open a supported website, such as LinkedIn.
2. Click the Cognism extension icon.
3. Verify that the extension loads successfully and prompts you to search or reveal contact information.

Troubleshooting

If you cannot install or use the extension:

• Ensure you are using Google Chrome.
• Update Chrome to the latest version.
• Restart your browser after installation.
• Verify that your organisation allows Chrome extensions.
